CONCORSO MOZART > MOZART INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION (ENG)

The  International Mozart Piano Competition is suspended from 2020. We hope to be able to resume with subsequent editions in the future!

The Mozart International Piano Competition, conceived and organized by the Institution of Music Collegium Artis was held continuously since 2006, and through the seven previous editions made in Frascati, Monte Porzio Catone and Rome, it become an important international event.It's focusing on the figure of Wolfgang A. Mozart, of whom resorted the 250 th anniversary of the birth in the first edition of the competition. Open to children and young people of any nationality, is divided into two sections: Senior (biennial, up to 35 years old) and Junior, with six categories (up to 6, 8, 10, 13, 16 and 20 years old). Provides cash prizes, trophies, medals and diplomas, as well as prize concerts in the next concert season of the Collegium Artis and offered by other associations and Festivals.

 

The juries in past years have seen the presence of important pianists and teachers of international level as Lya De Barberiis and Antonio D'Anto (Italy), Mirta Herrera (Argentina), Radomir Melmuka and Helena Slavíčková (Czech Rep.), Constance Channon-Douglas (Canada), Juan Lago (Spain), Christopher Axworthy (United Kingdom), Marylène Mouquet (France), Ryo Horiuchi and Miya Kazaoka (Japan) and many others.

 

The competition has been consolidated over the time as a point of reference for musicians and public in the territory, but has also helped raise awareness of the cultural and local music in Italy and abroad. It's quoted and advertised in the major web portals and music magazines, such as the Alink-Argerich Foundation (Netherlands), Baritone Ashkenazi (Russia), Mondial Competition Mizuno (USA), Edumus and "Suonare News" (Italy). The past editions were attended by more than 500 competitors from 53 countries of Europe, America and Asia, many of which are in a concert career, or have received major awards abroad.

 

NEW! There is a new category "Firts Notes" for candidates up 6 years old. The Campus Internazionale delle Arti of Bassano del Grappa (Italy) offers a Special Price that consist in direct participation at "Premio Campus delle Arti"

 

The XIV Edition have obtained the Patronage of the REGIONE LAZIO and CITTA' metropolitana di ROMA.
